REFLECTION
When things get hard, it’s easy to forget your own track record. But think back. There were days you weren’t sure you’d get through, and you did. Seasons that felt endless, and they ended. Losses you thought would flatten you, and here you are.
Strength isn’t the absence of struggle. It’s the quiet way you keep getting up. It’s in the ordinary mornings you showed up when you didn’t feel like it, and the nights you held on until the light came back.
Whatever you’re facing now, you’re facing it with everything you’ve already survived behind you. That counts for more than you know. You have done hard things before, and you can do this one too, one day at a time.
Mantras
Short enough to remember. Repeat one whenever you need it.
I’ve made it this far.
I bend, but I don’t break.
One day at a time.
My strength is quiet and real.
Affirmations
Say them out loud, slowly. Let each one settle before moving on.
I have survived every hard day so far.
My past shows me how resilient I truly am.
I am allowed to be tired and still be strong.
I draw strength from the people and faith that hold me up.
Each time I get back up, I grow stronger.
I can handle today, and today is all I need to handle.
Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.
Helen Keller, Optimism
TO CARRY WITH YOU
