REFLECTION
We hold on to so much. Old regrets, conversations we wish had gone differently, plans that didn’t work out, worries about things we can’t control. Often we don’t even notice how heavy it’s gotten until we try to move.
Letting go isn’t the same as giving up, and it doesn’t mean pretending something didn’t matter. It means accepting that some things are finished, some are out of your hands, and some were never yours to carry in the first place.
You don’t have to let go of everything at once. Start with one thing. Name it, acknowledge it, and loosen your grip, even a little. You might be surprised how much lighter your heart feels when it stops clutching what it can’t change.
Mantras
Short enough to remember. Repeat one whenever you need it.
I release what I can’t control.
It’s okay to set it down.
What’s done is done.
Lighter with every breath.
Affirmations
Say them out loud, slowly. Let each one settle before moving on.
I let go of what no longer serves me.
I release the past and make peace with what was.
I don’t have to control everything to be okay.
I forgive myself for what I didn’t know then.
Letting go makes room for new peace in my life.
I trust that what I release is held by more than me.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.
