REFLECTION
Hope rarely arrives with evidence. It shows up before the test results, before the phone call, before anything has actually changed. It’s the quiet voice that says keep going when nothing around you is saying it yet. That’s what makes it so brave.
You don’t have to manufacture hope or force yourself to feel it. Most days it’s already there, waiting in ordinary places: the first light through the curtain, a kind word you didn’t expect, the simple fact that you got up this morning. Light has a way of finding the crack in anything.
Today, you aren’t asked to be certain. You’re only asked to leave the door open a little, and let hope do what it has always done: find its way in.
Mantras
Short enough to remember. Repeat one whenever you need it.
Hope doesn’t need proof.
Light finds the crack.
I leave the door open.
Not yet is not never.
Affirmations
Say them out loud, slowly. Let each one settle before moving on.
I carry hope even when I can’t see the whole road.
I don’t need every answer to believe good things are coming.
Each morning gives me a fresh place to begin.
I notice the small signs that light is still finding me.
My hope isn’t naive. It’s brave.
Even on hard days, I’m held by more than I can see.
“Hope” is the thing with feathers –
That perches in the soul –
Emily Dickinson
TO CARRY WITH YOU
