REFLECTION
Healing rarely announces itself. It works underneath, in places you can’t see, while you’re still wondering if anything is changing at all. A bone knits in the dark. A seed splits open underground long before the first green shows.
Whatever you’re recovering from, whether a loss, a hurt, or a long season of being worn down, the mending may already be underway. Not finished, maybe not even visible yet, but real.
So be patient with the pace of it. Some days will feel like progress and some won’t, and both are part of the same work. You don’t have to rush your own repair. Rest when you need to, reach out when you can, and trust that what’s broken in you is not beyond restoring.
Mantras
Short enough to remember. Repeat one whenever you need it.
Mending is still mending.
I heal at my own pace.
Quiet doesn’t mean stuck.
I’m being restored.
Affirmations
Say them out loud, slowly. Let each one settle before moving on.
I allow myself to heal without a deadline.
My body and heart know how to mend.
I am gentle with the parts of me still recovering.
Small signs of healing count.
I’m not broken beyond repair. I’m in the middle of being restored.
I make room for rest, help, and hope as I heal.
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3 (KJV)
TO CARRY WITH YOU
Wherever you’re hurting today, may you feel the slow, steady work of mending already happening beneath the surface.
