REFLECTION
Some seasons are just heavy. Grief, worry, illness, change. Things that don’t have a quick fix and can’t be talked away. In those seasons, what helps most usually isn’t advice. It’s company. Someone sitting beside you. A hand on your shoulder. The reminder that you aren’t the only one holding this.
You were never meant to carry everything by yourself. Comfort can come from a friend’s call, a familiar song, a warm meal, a quiet prayer, or simply a moment when you let yourself be held instead of holding everyone else up.
If today feels heavy, let it be heavy. You don’t have to pretend otherwise. Just know that you are not alone in it, and that even the hardest seasons are held by a love bigger than they are.
Mantras
Short enough to remember. Repeat one whenever you need it.
I am held.
I don’t carry this alone.
It’s okay to lean.
Gentle with myself today.
Affirmations
Say them out loud, slowly. Let each one settle before moving on.
I let others help carry what’s heavy.
My feelings are allowed to take up space.
I am surrounded by more love than I can see right now.
Asking for comfort is a sign of strength, not weakness.
I give myself the same tenderness I’d give a friend.
This season is hard, and I am being held through it.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
TO CARRY WITH YOU
May comfort find you in small ways today, and may you let yourself receive it.
